Footsteps 2 Success, Inc., was founded by Dr. Leigh Hicks in 2010, due to the need for young ladies, that were at risk in the community, as well as incarcerated with low self-esteem. These young ladies not only suffered from low self-esteem, were on alcohol and drugs, sexually abused, victims' of human sex trafficking, and dating violence. The goal was to create a pageant, that would promote positive self-esteem in young ladies ages 11 to 18, and reward them with a scholarship to go to college once they graduated. Dr. Hicks began these pageant back in 2006, at the South Carolina Department of Juvenile Justice, for female offenders. Dr. Hicks went on to assess the needs in the community, and developed the Miss Footsteps 2 Success Pageant.

Footsteps 2 Success, Inc is a 501c3 tax exempt organization that is committed to working with the youth to shape transpire them into future leaders.

We provide a variety of programs for males and females ranging from 12 to 18 years of age. These programs have a great success rate because of the community involvement.
